GOLDENDALE OBSERVATORY STATE PARK

Great place for both kids and adults! We booked tickets in advance for the evening program which starts at 9pm. The director of the observatory, Troy, started out with an informative space talk and as the night sky cleared, we moved outside to look through the telescopes. Troy was very knowledgeable, engaging, and hilarious! He kept up the group energy as it got late. They also have a solar show that runs from 3pm-5pm. Admission is free for either program, but you must reserve a spot in advance. Don't forget your Discover Pass if you have one. They have them available to purchase there. Keep the weather in mind when reserving. Cloudy skies and full moons can make it hard to see at night. Bring warm clothing. Highly recommend a visit!
