Nestled in Pisgah National Forest, this is a historical site that offers visitors a chance to learn more about the beginning of forest conservation in America as it was the original site of the Biltmore Forest School. It is great for kids and adults alike with plenty of outdoor trails and exhibits to get your body moving but also an indoor discovery center with an excellent educational video if it is raining. They honor all federal passes and have a junior ranger program. You are deep in the Blue Ridge Mountains and the nature surrounding the center is stunning.
