HENRY COWELL REDWOODS STATE PARK

This gorgeous state park was the perfect place to spend a hot afternoon during the little heat wave Santa Cruz is experiencing this week. We hiked through redwood grove, admiring the enormous trees and enjoying the shade and then made our way along the river trail to this peaceful river spot. The water is shallow and calm and perfect for water play. Even on a 100 degree day it was cool and pleasant in the shade by the river. 🅿️ Parking is $10/day or requires a California state parks pass ($195/annual pass)
