Our top ten favorite things to do in one of our favorite places in the world: Pacific City, OR.

Soft, sandy beach break makes this a great spot for beginners and kids to surf, swim and play in the sand.
These might be the most spectacular tide pools we have ever seen! Big fins of rock at Cape Kiwanda are exposed at low tide and are absolutely covered in sea stars, anemones, barnacles, chitons and other aquatic invertebrates.
Sitka Sedge is a beautiful trail system that takes you through wetlands, forests and to the beach. We love hiking and birdwatching in this peaceful spot.
Fellow RV families take note: the Tillamook library system allows you to use the Thousand Trails campground address to get a library card here! We love spending a rainy afternoon reading books and playing games at the South Tillamook library. They have an impressive children's section full of games, lego, toys and activities and the kids love their summer reading programs!
We love hiking to these sand dunes from our campground! On clear days we have spotted whales from the top of the cape and enjoy watching paragliders soar above the dunes.
Ever since a camp neighbor took Sam and the boys out on his crabbing boat during our first summer on the road, they have been fascinated by crabbing. Close by Netarts Bay is a fun place to try your luck at crabbing without needing a boat.
This is one of our favorite beaches in the world and one we love to visit with friends. It is more protected than most other beaches (aka warmer and less windy) and the creek flows through the middle of the beach to the ocean, offering a safe place for water play for the kids. The boys love swimming, building and playing in the sand here.
Every time we go to the town of Tillamook to do errands, we stop at the creamery to at least grab a cheese sample and learn something new in the self-guided tour.
One of the most beautiful hikes we have ever done and also the muddiest. Even on sunny days be prepared for mud as you wind through the rainforest and end at the end of Cape Lookout for ocean views all around.
We toured this lighthouse a couple summers ago and need to make a return visit! This spot is stunningly beautiful.
