We have been making these chocolate nut "cookie dough" bites on repeat to keep stocked in the freezer as a healthy, filling and delicious treat or snack.
Ingredients
- 3 cups almond flour
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 cups nut butter
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tsp almond extract
- sprinkle of salt
- gallon Ziploc bag
Directions
- Combine almond flour, cocoa powder and salt in a medium bowl.
- Stir in peanut butter, maple syrup and almond extract to form a dough. Add more peanut butter if dough is too dry, more almond flour if dough is too sticky.
- Prepare a freezer bag or other container that can go in the freezer.
- Roll dough into small balls. Place in freezer bag.
- Stick the "cookie dough" bites in the freezer. It will take several hours for them to set up and reach their ultimate texture but they are edible immediately.
- Store in freezer and enjoy!
